Here is what one of our Project Hunger leaders had to say about what this wonderful opportunity to serve has meant to them.
I feel that God opened this door for me to let others know there are people out there that care for others and not just themselves. Thanks to Kelly Mendyk for bringing this ministry to me. This brought back a memory of when I was a kid and people brought food to our house when we had no food. Someone cared.
I thank God for guiding me through all He sets in my path
-John Wizinsky

Examples of things we want to post about
These are things that often goes unnoticed to the rest of our church community, but we have decided to start sharing some of the awesome things that are going on behind the scenes.
-Last Sunday our seniors group went from being just a fellowship group to being an action group. They took extra food to different people who they knew could use it.
-We have a new student in RYM who was invited by two other new students (both are non-church kids) who is now going with her new friends from RYM to our district Fine Arts competition. These are kids who didn't grow up in the church, but they are getting it. They want to invite their friends to share in what they are learning, the new friends they are making, and the relationship with Christ they are developing. Sometimes I think we need to look at these types of people as an example of what we should be doing. Let's keep our relationship with Christ fresh by doing what he has called us to do, and reach out to those who don't know Him.

What is going on?
Have you participated in or seen a group that is making a difference in our community? If so, let us know about it. We want to share with others what is going on behind the scenes here at Northridge.
